Quad Cities Airport serves the Quad Cities, an agglomeration of five separate cities spanning the Illinois/Iowa border. The airport is the third-busiest in Illinois after the two major Chicago airports. 

The Quad Cities are themselves rather small but as a whole form a large metropolitan area. They aren't often thought of as a great travel destination, but absolutely are.

The highlight of the area is undoubtedly the John Deere Pavilion — the Moline is the location of the headquarters of the company. 

Of course, you can easily reach other parts of Illinois and Iowa from the cities. 

Main airlines

American Eagle (American's regional subsidiary), Delta, and United all serve the airport. The low-cost Allegiant Airlines also flies to and from the airport. There are direct flights to Chicago, Minneapolis, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas, Atlanta, St. Petersburg, Punta Gorda, and Orlando Sanford.

Terminals

There is only one terminal at the small airport. It has two airside concourses. Therefore, it is easy and quick to get around the airport.

Location

The airport is about five miles south of downtown Moline and about 10 miles from Davenport. It is located directly off I-280 making it easy to reach all parts of the Quad Cities area.

Car rental desks

As with many smaller airports, the car rental desks are located right across from the baggage claim area and the rental cars are located just outside of the terminal. There is no need for a shuttle.

Services and facilities

MLI has all the services you would expect for an airport its size. You can find the typical gift shops and newsstands along with cafes and restaurants. There is a business center that operates as a lounge, though it requires a paid membership that is separate from the usual airline lounge memberships.

Nearest gas station

There is a Shell station right outside the airport. While the prices at it may be a few cents higher than at other stations in the area, its convenience more than makes up for it.
